Attorney Brad Morris

Professional Experience

While Mr. Morris focuses his current practice on these few specific areas of civil litigation, clients benefit from his direct experience in a variety of legal and professional settings. 

Prior to entering private law practice, Mr. Morris served as a Chief of Staff & Senior Advisor on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.   Mr. Morris has helped influence legislation in the U.S. Congress and Mississippi Legislature and he has also worked with local, state, and federal government agencies.

Mr. Morris has participated in the start-up, management, and financing of multiple small business ventures.  During his legal career, Mr. Morris has assisted other small business owners with business formation, regulatory compliance, contract drafting, and international trade issues, and he has represented individuals on legal matters ranging from estate planning to major injuries.

These diverse professional experiences allow Mr. Morris to offer more than just technical knowledge. He looks at each case from multiple points of view and seeks the best approach for the client.

Brad’s passion in law practice is fighting for those who have been harmed by someone else’s wrongful conduct.  That is why Mr. Morris focuses his practice on specific areas of civil litigation, so he can work up cases for trial to get maximum value for his injured clients.

Education & Honors

Mr. Morris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He received a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Mississippi School of Accountancy and got his Law Degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. A native of North Mississippi, Mr. Morris grew up in the rural community of Dorsey, Mississippi. He is a product of the local public schools and is a graduate of Itawamba High School in Fulton, Mississippi.

Mr. Morris is also a graduate of the renowned Keenan Trial Institute, which provides advanced trial practice training for plaintiff’s attorneys.  Mr. Morris has benefited greatly from the friendship, mentoring, and co-counsel of KTI’s founder, legendary trial attorney Don Keenan. From focus group testing to state-of-the-art trial presentations, Mr. Morris utilizes the cutting-edge techniques he learned from Mr. Keenan and KTI throughout his practice. Mr. Morris is now an active member of the KTI faculty, and he was recently honored with KTI’s 2024 Trial Lawyer of the Year Award for outstanding work and results on an obstetrics medical malpractice case involving traumatic brain injury to a baby in Mississippi.

Mr. Morris is a lifetime member of the Mississippi Association for Justice.

Personal Note

Mr. Morris is the husband of Sharon Gray Morris from Jackson, Mississippi. Sharon is a small business owner in Oxford. He and Sharon believe in economic and social justice and they believe in protecting the most vulnerable in our community, particularly the elderly and disabled. Brad and Sharon share three dogs, a passion for SEC sports events, and a commitment to community service activities. They are members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Oxford.
